Summer absorbtion made the hf bands very hard work daytime Sunday. 40mtrs had
little propagation and little activity. I didn't even check out 80m.

20m was ok very late evening here and early Sunaday with good propagation over
N Pole ( I worked a couple of VE5's which are rare as hens teeth with me) but
daytime there was the pits with atmospheric noise as well as lack of f2 with
sporadic e's coming and going.

15m was the money band with dx windows opening and closing all of the time,
there were some odd time openings too to west coast and JA,

10 mtrs was how it usually is in summer. mainly e's but we do get evening
openings to SA but that was not as good as usual. One isolated JA with a great
signal, where were the others?

It is the first occaision I have taken part in this test and I felt SA numbers
in participation were disappointing.

Highlights. Being called by KH6U on 15m after what seemed like hours of nothing
happening and then 3 double mlts with 9M6XRO in the last 30 minutes when we did
15/20/10 - way to go.

Eqp't - TS570 - 100w. 3 Ele yagi up 15m. Inv Vee DP for 40m.Loggingwith 'SD'

Due to antenna work, a low tower and no LF antennas, but a few hours of fun on
20-15-10. Thanks to the organizers for an enjoyable event.

At 1500z (start time) we had local contest for a 90 minutes. Later worked till
tired and went to sleep for a few hours. Next day had guests and came with
them to river (400m from my house). 3.5kg pike for tommorow lunch!
Enjoyed contest very well! TNX for QSO's.

K3 + 5m Wire + ATU

I used RBN so entry is multi op, then I did not check 10 minutes QSY so multi
TX category.
I thought I should do S&P almost all the time, however, strange propagation and
not many station calling CQ on the band, I have to run and was surprised when I
got nice rate. I am still playing with new ATU which I bought in Dayton 2 weeks
ago and I need some adjustment on length of wires as sometimes it starts
re-tuning even if TX frequency is not much off from tuned frequency on 15/10m.
I am sorry if you heard my signal suddenly dropped below noise level.....

FT1000MP, Alpha 78, 1 KW, TH6DXX, dipole. Very pleased with good signals from
all over the world on 20 and 15M. Was not surprised to find 20M open to Europe
at 0830Z, but was very surprised that 15M was also open at that time. Great
conditions on these two bands. Lot of noise on 40. No contest activity heard
on 80 or 10. Thanks for all QSOs. 73, John, K4BAI.
