Yet another nice contest with rising effort from non-ES participants. Had a
decent run first two hours and stayed on the top with ES5TV but then things
went a bit south. Some strange RF made me reboot whole system including
computer. Lost maybe 6-7 minutes and that was enough. I was never able to match
the QSO count.

Otherwise everything went quite smooth. Found some weak links in my system that
needs to be fixed.

Thank you all for participating!

First time for me in this contest!
Being in far West of France (and Europe) isn't advantage for this kind of
contest!
"ES" are around 2000kms from here , and at start of contest sun is
up!
So hard to heard life on 80!
Before the half (first hour) of contest not much activity on 40!
Never heard the rare "ES8" on SSB!
I tryed to work most as possible of "ES" that i heard!
Some never heard me but i wasn't only in this case , remembered a G0 tryed hard
on the same station on 40 cw!
CW is life in such a contest , SSB is boring , and too much domestic qsos ;-)
!
Used FT1000MKV and Slopper/Dipol on 80 , 2EL on 40m!
I may be back , i like this type of short contest!
Thanks also to Tonno for explanation how using wintest in this game!
73s , see you next contest

Big thanks to all participants, especially the stubborn ones from western and
southern EU who were hanging on trying to squeeze out those hard QSOs! G0DVJ
still in the very last hour on 80m 5 and half hours past our sunrise was a
great one!

I was having some issues with antenna switching and lost some time on that and
had trouble on 40m being left with high stacked yagis only shooting over the
head of several local stations.

Please check the new ESOPEN web page at esopen.eu and upload your log there (no
need to email then) to see the comparison with competition. Log deadline is May
1st but the earlier the better!:)
